Coronavirus (COVID-19) Announcement
Dear brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On March 15, the CDC recommended all gatherings of 50 or more people be discontinued for a period of eight weeks. Based on these recommendations and out of concern for the most vulnerable among us…
​
We are now holding either in a drive-in or online Worship Services.
All other In-person, Bible classes and activities (With the exception of Valparaiso Christian Academy) at Faith Lutheran Church are taking place virtually or are being suspended until further notice.
​
Valparaiso Christian Academy – will remain open until otherwise determined for the safety of all children and families. For up to date information please go to http://www.valpochristianacademy.com/

Going Forward…..
​
Like many of you, our church leadership continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely. We continue to pray for all of you affected by this difficult situation. We also pray for God’s guidance for all people, in this time of social distancing and what at least for many is new territory. As we face this territory together….

Our church board, staff, and teams continue to meet and to work hard to plan and provide meaningful worship experiences, bible study, spiritual support, and guidance on ways for people/groups to connect online or through other means.

Information and plans will be posted to Facebook, our website, and sent through the church email list as they develop.

Please consider how God might be reaching out to you in these difficult times and calling on you to grow closer to Him and those around you.

Please pray for each other, our communities, our world, all those affected by this illness, those who care for them, those involved in responding to this disease, and our churches. Pray that the love of Christ may be shared and the hope, help, and healing that is found in Him would cover all those who are in need.

Please consider ways you can connect with, and support, your neighbors and the elderly. Talk together about ways you can aid, help, and check in on each other; if someone were to go into a particular time of need how could you and your neighbors assist them safely and effectively?

Please continue supporting our ministries with your prayers, your time, and your offerings; during anxious times such as these, our ministries of mercy, reassurance, and compassion are more needed than ever! We recognize that some people’s incomes will be reduced and we seek to stand ready to help. If your income remains intact, please give generously.
In all these things remember…

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Therefore…
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-- think about such things. (Phil. 4:4-8)
And whatever we may face in the days ahead, let us face it together in Christ.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom. 8:38-39)
